Thomas Hill Organics

When we were in Paso Robles, CA for the holidays we went to the most delicious restaurant called Thomas Hill Organics.  The restaurant is owned by the owners of Thomas Hill Organic Farm, and was originally formed as a kind of farm stand to highlight the products in their CSA program.  But from what I understand it has grown and changed significantly from this original concept, they now have a young french chef named Julie Simon, and they are turning out some very creative and impressive food!

On Monday nights they do a 5 course prix fixe dinner for $25 which is just out of this world.  The menu is completely set, meaning you make no selections, which I love.  It insures you try things you might not otherwise have chosen.

Here are some photos from our dinner.

Oeufs en meurette with shitake mushrooms and tobacco broth.

To drink with our dinner we selected a Picpoul Blanc from Lone Madrone and a bottle of Tablas Creek Rose, which were both local to Paso Robles, and both great crisp, food friendly wines, although in their own individual ways.
